I didn't want to talk about fashion in the last post about me losing my checkbook so I decided to change the subject in another post.

I feel that many men do not understand the world of fashion, but sometimes I feel like this is a good thing. It's only a good thing to an extent though because if your man has no fashion sense at all then we have a problem. My bf, on the other hand has some, but he didn't understand what I meant this morning when I was talking about wearing summer colors. He was putting on a brown undershirt with a grey polo and he didn't think they matched (which they did match), but I told him that wasn't the problem with the outfit. I told him that it just wasn't summer colors and he laughed! We all should know that it is very appropriate to wear pastels and bright colors right now! Live it up......go fashion....

I have also heard that the new trend is to stick your skinny jeans in your shoes...I'm not so sure about that, maybe it can work in a hot, tall, stilletto, but I don't see that working in flats, I feel that would just look awkward!

I have misplaced my checkbook.....how bad is this...let me tell you. I thought it was really bad when I was told someone could write a check to themselves so obviously I freaked out and called the bank. Then I found out it could get way way worse because my account number is on there and people can use that to pay bills or any online stuff. I almost had a heart attack t minuse one hour ago.

Solution: The fraud specialist told me that I would have to close my account and start a new one with completley different everything....not a bad idea. I went to the bank t minus 45 minutes ago and they froze, are giving me a coulple of days to look because I tend to lose stuff easily and it could be somewhere obvious and if it is not we go with drastic measures and close the account. I hate this kind of stuff, if people weren't so bad I would never have to worry about fraud and theft....UGH

In better news, HAPPY BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY MOM!! I love you! It was my mom's birthday yesterday, she would die if I told you how old she was...

summer is almost over?

I cannot believe that it is almost the end of July. In less than one month I will be student teaching....crazy

I need to make a to do list of stuff to do before this comes:

1. Buy teacher clothes
2. Oil change...
3. Hair
4. Lesson plans/idea -any ideas on how to make learning about the Constitution fun?
5. Read Love and Logic
6. See Stepbrothers.....just have to
7. Find a way to stay organized!
8. Get multiple alarm clocks!

Jordan's bday!

Have I ever mentioned that I really do have the greatest boyfriend in the entire world! I love him so much! Anyways, this weekend was his birthday and it went so well! I facebooked one of his bes friends from college and got him to come up to Des Moines for the weekened. Saturday we went and saw the new Batman movie (very good I might add) and then we went to a music festival. Just as night was hitting at the fest we noticed severe rain clouds and decided we should pack up and go, so we did and almost immediatley after leaving it started crazy raining....I was scared!

Yesterday we ate at BWWs (weird because I normally work Sunday mornings), then we spent the rest of the day at home. We went to our friends volleyball game and watched them win two games in a row ( a first for them), and then hung out with our friends for the rest of the night. After we got home I gave him his gifts-ipod accessories, and we went to bed!

It was sooo good!!!

ps, sorry I don't put pictures up, I feel like that makes me boring, but I lost the cord to my digital camera so there's not much I can do!

Jordan's birthday!

So, it's my boyfriend's birthday this weekend! YAY! Tonight we are having dinner with his parents and this weekend we are going to a music festival! I can't wait, I love him so much and I really want to throw him a good birthday party but he really isn't into the whole birthday thing like I am.

I would say what I'm getting him but he could get on here and read this at anytime so that would be a total spoiler.

I can't wait for a delicious steak dinner tonight!

Sorry for my lack of blogging efforts last week to all of you who may be following this. Last week was really hard emotionally (I'm not going into the details, you don't know me that well yet!, physically, and I was also working constantly. I didn't even have time to spend with my friends or talk to my family I was so caught up in things. I'm back now though.....

The newest thing in my life that makes me smile (well technically not yet, but I'm sure it will), they opened up a new sushi and habachi grill called samuri. Those of you who have met me before may recall my love of Taki, the "it" sushi place of Des Moines/West Des Moines/Clive, but I have heard that this place rivals Taki......I'm going there tonight to try it so it better be good.

In other news, I'm going to go meet my friend Megan for lunch and shopping now! PEACE

So NEW updates:

First the thing that affects my life the most: STUDENT TEACHING
I officially begin student teaching August 18 with an in service teachers meeting....I CAN'T WAIT..I have literally been having dreams about it, what if I mess it up or I suck...this is like the ulitmate test before teaching

To let you all know, I'm going to be teaching three civics classes and one geography class...YAY, but the school I'm at is a little "rougher" and I really hope I don't mess up

Second: Fourth of July..very fun...my boyfriend and I went to the finally unflooded Racoon River and watched fireworks. The fireworks there were not as good as some other places that we could see so we're probably not going there next year.
